Harry and Kathy Hill
I have attached a photo of my wife Kathy and myself
taken recently near Cannery Row on Monterey, Calif.
I have been living here in Hollister, CA since 1968.
This has always been home to me as my parents were
born and raised here. So naturally I have mny
relatives here. I worked in electronics industry for twelve years.Graduated from college with a BS in Bus Admin. I changed careers in 1975 and worked in local government retiring after twenty years. I am currently working at a window manufacturing company and on a computer, seven hours a day. My health had been good with exception of last year, having had cancer. I went the chemotherapy route and radiation, and the cancer has
disappeared. I now return every six months for blood analysis to insure that it does not return.
Thank you for creating this website for our classmates.
I think it is a terrific venue. I remember most of the names without having to refer to the photo albums. And you know what folks "I just love this website"

I finished my junior year at WHS, then my family went back to the states for 30 days in the summer. We returned in the summer. We returned but then moved to he K-Town area. My dad had retired from the USAF and decided to take a civil-service job wth the USAF at Ramstein AFB. We lived on the economy for 2 yrs. I repeated my junior year at K-Town because of grad requirements. So I graduated in '63. I t gave me a chance to improve my grades and be involved in various activities. Then is was on to the the USAFA and that was a rough summer. Once academics started, I realized just how atrocious my study habits were. That wasn't much of a problem in HS but at the Academy, a different story. Time management was a major problem for me, and the Academy wasn't the place to try to correct it. So basically I was unprepared for the experience and ended up flunking out after the first semester. While working as a stock-boy for a discount chain store, I knew I had to get back into college soon. my family was living in Virginia, the DC area, by then so I looked at local colleges. The only 4-yr college I could get in to by the following semester was Davis and Elkins college in Elkins, WV. It's a small liberal arts college. Surprisingly, it had everything I was looking for in a college. I was good enough to play on the varsity soccer team right away. I stood out in the Air Force ROTC unit, but my GPA never fully recovered. I was fortunate to have my choice of fraternities. In my Senior year, I was soccer captain, ROTC cadet commander, fraternity executive committee member, lost the student body president election, but got "pinned" to my future wife, (gave her my fraternity pin and we were serenaded by my fraternity and her soroity). I had a great time!! What a difference from the Academy!!
I graduated from college in "68", received my USAF commission, and went to pilot training so I got married in Aug '69, completed pilot training in Nov., went to survival schools and specific aircraft training prior to an assignment in Vietnam. In South Vietnam I was a FAC pilot, (like Danny Glover in the movie Bat-21). I was very lucky got shot at a few times had a moment or two. (let's talk Jim, so was your webmaster), I was next assigned to Westover AFB MA. assigned to fly tankers (Boeing 707's), but did not enjoy it. We really enjoyed living there in the Springfield area. I tried to find a job there after getting out of the AF after my 5 yr commitment. I completed my master's degree while in the USAF and tried to find a job involving counseling, since that's what most of my course work was involved. Stayed in the AF just long enough for them to take care of the birth of my our son.
Next move was when I had 2 job offers: a guidance counselor at a regional HS in NJ or the asst. dir. of a mental health ctr in Alabama. So we went to Alabama in March, because it was a sure thing. My wife hated it, and I decided I preferred kids over mental health problems. So when the NJ school called to offer the counselor job, we went back to NJ in October.
So now, we're in NJ living with my wife's parents in October. I'm trying to catch up in work at the job, learning new procedures, stressed, and I am not enjoying anything about this. Worse the cost of living is a big step up from Alabama. Our marriage is stressed, but we finally purchased a house, Then things calmed down a bit. After 3 years I get laid-off, which turns out good, because I end up at a school with much better working conditions for counselors, even though I am less paid. Well, I am finishing my 24th year here. I really enjoy counseling kids and I have coached, 17 years as the varsity soccer coach and 12 years as the bowling coach. I had the honor of being named Coach of the Year in each year before giving it up 4 years ago. My sensei had asked me to help him run his karate school. ( Jim, remind me not to tick you off). I just gave that up last year. However, I am still the Karate Club advisor /instructor here in the High School. I am still active in my own karate training. I started 22 years ago after my son beginning training at the age of 5. (Jim, I do not want to make him mad either) He quit after 10 years to concentrate on the guitar. I'm now a 5th degree black belt, highest ranking student in the school, a traditional goju-ryu dojo. Now I usually end up teaching more than training. I also do traditional Okinawan weapons - 4th degree black belt in Matayoshi Kobudo system. I may wish to open my own school after I retire. MY oldest son graduated from Fordham Univ (age 27) and works as editor for "Freekick" magazine, the free program given out at all professional soccer games her in the USA. My daughter was an honor student at Virginia Tech, student dietetic intern of the year for NJ and graduated from U of Medicine & Dentistry of NJ. She works for a hospital as a Registered Dietician. My son loves NY, and lives in Brooklyn. My daughter lives at home. Jet-Sets with friends and saves money. My wife and I are separated. Though we still have some common interests. We have grown in different directions. We are both into metaphysics and spirituality, but differently. We are going thru an amicable divorce.

Don and his wife Chris
Don Hoerner
Dad retired from the Air Force shortly after leaving Germany and settled in Everett, WA. After graduating from Univ of WA, (which is known for it's football teams), with a degree in Bus Admin. I went into the Air Force Reserves for 6 years. I got married in 1968, separated in 1990, and divorced in 1992. I have a son, Brian, who is married with one child. I married Chris, a wonderful women, 1993. She grew up in Monroe, which is about 8 miles from where we live in Snohomish. Chris graduated from Washington State Univ, which is not known for it's football teams. She has 2 children, Lynn, who is married and has one child and Johnny, who is still single with no kids (we hope). All the kids live locally and we see them often. Upon completion of basic and tech training in the reserves, I returned to Everett and went to work for a local Certified Public Accounting firm and obtained by CPA license. In 1986 the firm merged with the regional accounting firm, Moss Adams. At the beginning of 1992, I needed to change work environments, thus, I went to work for an Indian tribe in Marysville. I am presently the Chief Financial Officer for the Tulalip Tribes of Washington in Marysville and its a kick. The Tribe has a prime reservation site in Marysville, with the east boundry located on the I-5 freeway and the west boundry located on Puget Sound. It is a beautiful reservation and provides an economic boon to the employees and members. Chris is retired as a special education teacher and she keeps very busy with gardening and maintaining the new house we had built three years ago. If anyone is in the area we have plenty of room. Snohomish is the antique capital of the northwest.-

Jeff We Know How Old You Are And Your Doing This... YIKES!!!!
Jeff Kelly
I just became eligible for retirement after 25 years with the US Postal Service in Federal Way, Washington. After high school , I attended a small Michigan teacher's college, followed by active duty service in Vietnam as a FAC pilot flying 0-1E's. I spent part of my "checkered" youth as a carpenter and with the Air Force Reserves as C-141 pilot. Obviously, I like to slide down mountains on a snow board. "lookin good, Jeff!!
I went to the Class of 62 22nd and 25th reunion. Not to crazy about all class reunions but I think the 40th for the 62-ers will be very special, and be a great party! I finally visited the website and actually "I'm blown away by it"
